Introducing Vibe Kanban Cloud

Louis Knight-Webb
Louis Knight-WebbFebruary 3, 2026

Yesterday, Vibe Kanban helped individuals plan and review work done by their coding agents. Today, it becomes a tool for teamsβ€”we're launching the first stage of Vibe Kanban Cloud.

Our goal was to enable small teams to organise their entire backlogs, work with coding agents, review code and QA changes, all without leaving Vibe Kanban.

Shared Projects

You can now create organisations, invite team members, and start projects that everyone in the organisation can view.

Issues live within projects and support tags, assignees, priorities, sub-issues, and more. View them on a kanban board with customisable status columns, or as a list.

Updates sync instantly across all clients, powered by Electric SQL and TanStack DB under the hood.

Integrates deeply with workspaces and PRs

When creating an issue, you can immediately turn it into a draft workspace. An issue can have multiple workspaces attached; useful for larger issues or when a single issue requires changes across different codebases.

If an issue has linked workspaces, its status updates automatically:

  • Moves to 'In Progress' when a workspace is created
  • Moves to 'In Review' when a pull request is opened
  • Moves to 'Done' when all pull requests across associated workspaces are merged

100% open source, hackable

Like all single player functionality to date, the teams and cloud features of Vibe Kanban are completely open source and can be self hosted. The source is available on GitHub.

Signing up and inviting your team

To get started, open the desktop app by running npx vibe-kanban, then navigate to the workspaces beta by appending /workspaces to the URL.

Sign in from the user menu in the bottom left corner. You'll be prompted to log in with a GitHub or Google account.

Once signed in, you can create a new organisation from the settings dialog or the user menu. Your personal org is just for you. To collaborate, create a new organisation and invite members.

After creating an organisation, you can invite members. If prompted to upgrade your plan, follow the in-app instructions.

Cloud Pricing

Vibe Kanban remains free for individuals. To collaborate with others, upgrade your organisation to a Pro subscription at $30 per user per month. Teams with more than 50 users should contact us for custom pricing.

Migration

Legacy local projects can now be migrated to cloud projects by visiting /migrate in the app. You can use both legacy local and cloud projects while we gather feedback, but local projects will be deprecated soon.
